Derin Talu, 3 Eylül 2003 tarihinde New York’ta dünyaya gelmiştir. Annesi Defne Samyeli’nin sunuculuk ve oyunculuk geçmişiyle tanınması, babası Eren Talu’nun ise mimarlık alanında bilinen bir isim olması, Derin Talu’nun genç yaşta medya dünyasında öne çıkmasında etkili olmuştur.
Eğitim hayatına İstanbul’da başlayan Derin Talu, lise yıllarının ardından kariyer hedefleri doğrultusunda Los Angeles’a taşınmıştır. Oyunculuk ve modellik alanlarına ilgi duyan genç isim, ilk podyum deneyimini dünyaca ünlü tasarımcı Atıl Kutoğlu’nun defilesinde yaşamıştır.
